Crushed, these seeds have the smell of cumin, and after removing the top shell, their white and oily core is revealed, which is very fragrant. It is also put on bread and used as a spice in some regions. The seed forms the medicinal organ of this plant. The essence of this plant has medicinal properties. The flowering time of this plant is from the end of May to July, and the seeds are collected in July and August. This plant grows in Arak and Isfahan in Iran and is also cultivated in other areas. 2. Wild or plain black seed: It is a herbaceous plant, one year old and very short, with leaves similar to cultivated black seed with narrow thread divisions, blue flowers with green lines, black oval seeds with dimensions of 1 up to 2 mm. This species often grows in grain fields and wasteland in Europe, North Africa, Asia Minor and Asia. In Iran, it is also grown in Azerbaijan and the northern regions (north of Lushan) and it is cultivated as well.
